Zynga Didn't Make a Loss for the First Time
Zynga, which closed 2012 with a total loss of 209 million dollars, made a profit in the January-March quarter for the first time since its IPO. Although Zynga's revenues showed a decrease compared to previous quarters after announcing its financial statements; a profit of 4 million dollars made the company smile.
There is a noticeable decrease in Zynga's active users. Zynga, which had an average of 65 million daily users in the last quarter of 2012, saw its user count drop to 52 million in the first quarter of 2013. Although the decrease in revenue and user numbers in the first quarter where Zynga made a profit for the first time, despite never announcing a profit before, could be explained as "struggling to make ends meet", Zynga prefers to look at the situation positively.
Zynga, which has recorded a significant rise recently, especially with Farmville 2, announced that Farmville 2 alone reached 40 million users per month. It appears that only farmers will save the unfortunate Zynga.
