Turkey Launches E-Visa Application

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made it easier for tourists to enter Turkey to promote tourism. Citizens of 94 countries can now obtain an e-visa quickly by filling in their information on the website https://www.evisa.gov.tr. The e-visa application is not available for those wishing to enter Turkey for reasons other than tourism or trade. There are no changes to the valid requirements for a visa. Tourists can complete their transactions through the site if they have a passport valid for 6 months, a flight reservation, and a valid credit card. After the application is completed, e-visas are sent to the visitors' e-mails, and visitors can travel with printouts of these e-visas. However, like a regular visa, the electronic visa must be renewed when its validity period expires. Additionally, if those whose names are written in the accompanying section of the passport intend to travel, an e-visa must also be obtained for them.
