Facebook's New Wonderkid: Spaceport
Facebook's talent hunt continues at full speed. The latest name Facebook has added to its team is Spaceport. The spaceport.io team, which develops HTML5-based games, had previously received a $3 million investment from BBC Worldwide and Youweb.
Facebook is striving to be at the same distance from all mobile platforms because its future in mobile depends on it. For now, the easiest way to achieve this is HTML5. Facebook had previously used the HTML5 base for mobile applications, but had returned to platform-based applications due to performance degradation.
Firefox OS is also working to provide conveniences for those who want to be present on all social platforms, especially Facebook, with HTML-based applications. Platform-based applications are still dominant. However, it is only a matter of time before this situation changes.
