How is Taxi Fare Calculated?
Taxis can always be advantageous compared to public transport or your own personal vehicle. Of course, this is in the context of urban transportation. For example, you may not be able to reach your destination fast enough with public transport. Or, after slowly navigating through city traffic with your vehicle, you may experience parking problems. Therefore, instead of dealing with all of these, you can call a taxi and comfortably reach your desired location. Also, when you leave a place at night having consumed alcohol, there will be no other means of transportation. Of course, you can go with your own vehicle. However, drunk driving carries heavy penalties. Considering all of these, you can call a vehicle for a short trip and get to your destination instantly. Different prices are set in every city. One of the biggest reasons for this is the population density of the city. Because as the number of people increases, the tendency of people to switch from public transport to taxis also increases. When is it Necessary to Use a Taxi?
Therefore, prices are always low in big cities, and Istanbul will be the best example of this. However, in smaller places, prices are more expensive. This includes both the starting fare and the per km price. People usually see the price increasing every 100 meters. However, this situation is designed on a kilometer basis. But another thing that should not be forgotten is that the fare does not continue while waiting for the taxi. When considering many means of transportation, it is quite logical for people to choose taxis. Because public transport vehicles are extremely crowded. Many people cannot travel in the heat and crowd or standing. Therefore, alternatives should be evaluated for a comfortable journey. Or the best way to get home from places you leave late at night is by taxi. Because if you choose your personal vehicle, there is a specific penalty for driving under the influence of alcohol. Finding public transport at that hour is not possible. In such cases, the best choice is a taxi. All you need to do is call the number of the nearest taxi stand and request a vehicle to your location.
